I don’t believe that I am saying this; but I was raised in a simpler, slower time when we were taught to observe the common courtesies that can lubricate everyday life. My parents and grandparents taught me to always say please and thank you.

Please and thank you. Common courtesy that is not so common anymore. Perhaps if we all prayed more and gave thanks more there would be more; more common courtesy and less strife, more love and less hate, more you and less me. A humble and thankful heart toward God will create a humble and thankful heart toward man because the two greatest commandments according to Jesus are to love God and love others.
