In Colossians 1:13-20 Paul wrote the following about the redemption of man by the Lord: “He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.”

I believe this just as I believe that gravity keeps me anchored to the earth, that the physical world has rules that need to be studied and understood and that we can improve man’s stay on earth by using science for good. I also believe that man’s true essence is spiritual and that the physical will all pass away and we will face a just God who will judge us on our merits.

There is no conflict between God and science. There is however a conflict between good and evil and a battle for your soul. Be very careful about dismissing Jesus and God as unseen and unimportant.
