Know that the Lord wants to save everyone, not just the nice and the kind. He loves every human being that He created: the strong and the weak, the rich and the poor, the abused and the abuser, the happy and the depressed, the oppressor and the oppressed. They all have access to the love of God. He waits anxiously for each wayward child who has turned away to return and calls to all who never knew Him to come.

Why should we care? Because God sought us, because God loves us, because God saved us through Jesus and imbued us with the Holy Spirit to enable us to care and forgive and seek forgiveness and love.

How can we help? Love the unlovable, wash the unclean, shelter the homeless, and feed the hungry, care for the weak.

What can we do now? Pray for guidance. Seek discernment. Find where Jesus is working and add your hands and feet to His efforts. Local churches have ministries that are always looking for help. Local shelters, soup kitchens and food pantries also need helping hands as well as donations and there are a multitude of foreign missions to which you might feel called.

Just do something!
