Well, here we are at Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) again. Linda is doing her thing with the planning for cooking for a group of 47 with Sally and I am just here helping where I can. This week I will be in the kitchen. Imagine that, ex-long term volunteer non-cooking Carl in the kitchen. God sure has a sense of humor.

However, they have promised me that I can go out on jobsites for the next 2 weeks and work. It is a privilege to serve here in Eastern Kentucky in any capacity. You just have to be willing, with the help of the Lord through prayer and conversation CAP will find a place for you.

Last night at the volunteer house the devotion was about hospitality, a fitting subject for CAP volunteers as they are the most welcoming group of people that you will ever meet. If you are looking for a short term volunteer opportunity (at least three weeks), a long term commitment (one year) or have a group of at least three people who want to help for one week ($400 each), this is a great place to serve.
