Those who are the chosen of the Lord, who have been called to be witnesses to His great love, who have become the ambassadors of His mercy and His hands and feet on this earth have a responsibility that carries with it both rewards and perils. As the visible and fallible image of the living Christ, they need to be very mindful of the fact that they are under constant and intense scrutiny by non-Christians and the target of Satan and his minions.

However, it is also true that the yoke of the Lord is easy and His burden is light. How can this be? The Lord provides many tools for Christians to use, some are found in the Bible, some in prayer and some in the Holy Spirit. He has prepared a Book that serves as a guide for our actions and tells of the salvation of man. He has given prayer as a means to have contact with God the Father through Jesus Christ. He has given us the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us through the trials of the world. And, He has given us each other for encouragement and companionship. Never forget the value of community.
