As we move from place to place and see many of the temptations of this world we can be blown around like the tumbleweeds that we see here in West Texas. The wind is a mighty thing here, blowing constantly trying to shake our trailer as we travel.

Today we can add rain and a painful sciatic nerve to the mix. There are forces at work here that we know nothing about and that is why we must be deeply rooted in the Lord. Our feet must stand firm on the Jesus the Rock and our roots must be firmly embedded in God’s Word. There will be times when we are tried. The winds will blow and the rains will come and we must be ready or we will be lost.

Stay focused on Jesus, be prepared for the rain and the winds by keeping your focus on the Lord. Study God’s Word, pray for wisdom and understanding and stay in fellowship with other believers. Do not listen to the world as it attempts to pull your attention from Jesus. Avoid the traps.

Psalm 25:15 My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only he will release my feet from the snare.
