So, it was cloudy, rainy and warm for two days. This morning the sun is shining and the temperature is in the thirties. As we went out for our morning walk the lake was covered in a fine mist and the geese and birds were singing the Lord’s praises. What a great start this day has had.

We are packing up and driving the 225 miles to Dothan today, back to the place we think of as home even though we stay there infrequently. This is the place where God joined us together and where our church family lives. This place carries fond memories for us and is between the homes of two of our children. While we may never actually live there again, it will always hold a special place in our hearts and draw us back.

Our souls also yearn to be home. Home for our souls is with the Lord, our Savior. We do not know when we will arrive at home. We only know that we must continue to grow in our faith, to help the poor and needy, to comfort the afflicted and to reflect the love of Jesus in all that we do. If we are faithful to God in all that we do, then we are assured that He will be faithful to us.
