To live a life of conviction, to hold strong to biblical concepts, to have a moral compass in your own space without trying to force your beliefs on others is considered discriminatory in today’s society. It is no longer enough to be a good person, to love all people without exception… your motives must align with society.

When all actions are judged, not on their individual merit but on their underlying principles then we become the thought police in a totalitarian state. This is not how mankind is meant to live. We were created in the image of God and our lives should reflect that image as accurately as possible. To do otherwise is to bring dishonor to the Lord.

This means that we live our lives with honor, mercy and humility. The only time that we stand firm is when we are asked to do something against the will of God. And when it is time to stand firm do not trust in your own words, do not mount a self-defense, rather trust in the Lord. He will give you words to say, He will guide your actions and He will keep you safe during the storm.
